Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester in Nigeria

Today, St John Nigeria is a national organisation which provides first aid training and care services to improve health and wellbeing. In this photograph, the Duke of Gloucester visits cadets in Nigeria. The Duke was a member of the British Royal family, and it wasn't until 20 or so years after this photo was taken that Nigeria declared independence from British rule on 1 October 1960.
